Lesson 2: Consonant Digraphs (th, sh, ch, wh)
Objective:Students will learn to recognize and pronounce the consonant digraphs th, sh, ch, and wh. They will practice listening to and repeating words with these digraphs, read a short passage containing them, and complete an activity to reinforce their understanding.
What you will learn today:
The sounds of the consonant digraphs th, sh, ch, and wh.
How to recognize and say words that contain these digraphs.
How to read and listen for these sounds in words and sentences.
In this lesson, you will:
Listen to the digraph sounds and try to say them.
Cut and paste your vocabulary words in your notebook or tape them to your word wall.
Practice reading words with th, sh, ch, and wh sounds.
Listen to and read a short passage that includes words with consonant digraphs.
